Jay's Birthday

Jay turned 7 this week. No matter how much I tried to talk him out of it, he insisted on getting one year older. He is such a joy to have in the family. He is the best big brother ever and loves his little sisters with all of his heart. He is very good at taking care of Kaitlyn and very good at annoying Sarah. He is in the 1st grade now and is doing very well. He loves school and sports of all kinds, but his favorite interest right now is Star Wars. You can tell from his presents below that he has become somewhat obsessed with the series. It's perfectly alright with us though, we just love to see him happy. Jay's birthday cake. He's hard to see, but Yoda is in the right corner of the cake. I actually had to purchase him and have the bakery make this cake special because they didn't have any preset Star Wars cakes. Jay was thrilled.

Opening presents.
The Loot. (Sarah had the most dejected look on her face after he opened his presents. She kept asking when she got to open. I told her in January and she did NOT like that answer.) The next three pictures are from Thursday (his actual birthday). He opened his presents from his Grandparents in Colorado and his Aunt Katie and Uncle Greg on his birthday, but waited to open the rest today at his party.

Uncle Greg sent him Yoda. Jay has slept with him every night. Thanks Greg, he loves it.
Grandma Graham sent him a new Broncos jersey. He was thrilled. He wore it to school the next day.
