Eight Years Later!!!!

Marcus and I were fortunate enough to slip away for the weekend and celebrate our 8th Anniversary in Las Vegas, Nevada. My cousin Karali Palmer Carter got married at Caesars Palace and we decided to celebrate with her and our anniversary at the same time. We left the kids with friends and family and left on Saturday. We drove to St. George, UT, on Saturday and stayed with Grandma Bodine. On Sunday, we visited Grandpa's grave and then ate In-N-Out and headed on to Las Vegas.

I was unable to go to Grandpa's funeral so this was my first time to visit his grave. It was a nice visit. We left fresh flowers for him and admired his headstone.
Once we got to Vegas we checked into our hotel and then went to the strip. We walked all the way down to Mandalay Bay and then back up. The fountains at the Bellagio were probably my favorite thing on the strip. Unfortunately, I didn't get any night time pictures of it. But trust me, it truly is beautiful. This is a picture of Marcus in front of the hotel.

We also went to M & M world and bought the kids souveniers. This is a picture of me and "Green".
The next day we hung out at the pool most of the day with my (Heidi's) cousins and family. We both were burned, but of course I (Heidi) was much worse than Marcus. I think he's already tan. That night we went to the Treasure Island hotel and watched the Pirate show. That was an interesting experience. If you want more details than that, you'll have to call me. This is a family blog. On the way back, I ran into Elvis. Marcus was too far ahead of me and I couldn't catch him fast enough. So, here I am with Elvis by myself. Marcus was soooo jealous.
Tuesday was our last day in Vegas and the day of the wedding. Marcus and I had to leave right after the vows were exchanged in order to have our rental car back in time and Marcus to work. So I only have a few pictures. The first one is of me and Grandma Bodine.

This picture is of the bride, Karali, and her mother, Aunt Joi. They both looked so beautiful.

Here I am with Karali's sisters (my cousins) Teri and Marcie.

I wish that I had more pictures. If some get emailed to me, I will send try to post them. It was so much fun and we couldn't have taken the trip without the help from our friends and family that watched our kids for us and invited us to be part of their special day. Karali, thanks again for sharing. Grandma Bodine, thanks for letting us stay with you. Mom and Lisa thanks for watching our kids. It was a wonderful anniversary and I am so glad to be married to such an amazing man that treats me so well and loves me so much. Marcus, you are everything that I have ever wanted and more. Thanks for the last eight years and I hope our next eight are just as special.

I've lived on Maui for 3 years, and haven't seen anyone famous yet, and they all come here to vacation. You need to come and visit so I can see someone famous...lol. =)

It looks like you had so much fun. Now I really wish we could have gone. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through our friends.
