Craters of the Moon!!

Our adventure on Monday took us to the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve. It was a lot of fun. It's about an hour drive out into the middle of no where. Our party consisted of Dar, Melissa, their four children, Brooklin, Caleb, London, Isaiah; my sister Lisa and her three children, Tayler, Whittney and Cameryn; and Me and my three children, Jay, Sarah and Kaitlyn. We packed a lunch and ate in the park, went to the visitors center and spent almost the whole day outside.

In this first picture the kids are all posing in front of the welcome sign. Kaitlyn was asleep in the car and as we all know, you never wake a sleeping baby, so she was not in the picture. From left to right: Caleb, Isaiah, Whittney, Tayler, Jay, London, Sarah, Cameryn and Brooklin. The first tunnel we went in was the Indian tunnel. It's a large cave/tunnel in the park that is great for families. Our crew hiked through pretty quick and everyone had fun. Jay is posing on this first picture and you can see his cousins in the background waiting for everyone to catch up.
This is Jay again, but in a different spot in the cave. It did look very similar throughout.
Waiting on the moms to catch up. From left to right: Isaiah, Whittney, Tayler, London and Brooklin. Up top is Caleb and Jay. Down below is Sarah.
At the end of the Indian Tunnel is a crevice that all the kids climbed into. It was a very cute picture and they were all giggling.

This is Sarah and her cousin Caleb climbing up one of the smaller volcanoes. When we got to the top, you could look right down into the volcano. It was full of snow. The kids couldn't believe it. Even in the middle of July, there was snow in Eastern Idaho.

Sarah and Caleb.
Sarah in the tunnel. She hiked next to me almost the entire time, but did all of her own climbing until the very end. She was amazing. I had Kaitlyn on my tummy so I couldn't help her much, but Sarah just kept on trooping.
Sarah, Kaitlyn and I in the Tunnel. It was a wonderful family day. I have some more pictures that I haven't uploaded yet. I'll try to get them posted tonight.
